Dr. Sumaya M. Al Kalla, DMD
Dr. Sumaya M. Al Kalla, DMD, provides compassionate, personalized dental care to the Falls Church, Virginia community. Inspired early on by her father—one of the first orthodontists in Qatar—she brings a lifelong dedication to oral health, patient care, and professional excellence to her practice.
Dr. Al Kalla builds her approach on a strong academic and clinical foundation. She combines her technical skills with a deep understanding of the medical sciences to treat every patient as a unique individual. Along her professional journey, she worked closely with her mentor, Dr. Gheed Almudhafar. This transformative experience refined her clinical precision, strengthened her core values, and elevated the quality of care she delivers today.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Al Kalla actively advances dental education and community health. In 2023, she completed the Academic Dental Career Fellowship Program (ADCFP) to develop her academic leadership skills. She also dedicates her time to philanthropic initiatives, providing preventive care and dental awareness at local events and international mission trips.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Al Kalla stays active through her love of volleyball and basketball. She credits her strong work ethic to her parents’ unwavering support and remains committed to lifelong learning, mentorship, and future scholarly contributions to the dental field.
